Absolute Sanctuary (Koh Samui)

Absolutely Sanctuary has 38 rooms housed in five bilevel buildings. Guest room interiors mimic the property's Moroccan-inspired theme with rugs and wall hangings fashioned from rich fabrics and textiles, splashes of color, and freestanding light fixtures. Furnishings include en-suite bathrooms, in-room safes, mini-fridges, work desks, and small, private terraces. Suites sport king-size, four-poster canopy beds and a Moroccan-inspired lounge filled with pillows and cushions. Some accommodations offer ocean or pool views.

Guests can relax in a casual, inviting setting at Love Kitchen at Absolute Sanctuary, as chefs create nutritious, light dishes with local produce and the freshest organic ingredients whenever possible. Offerings vary from vegetarian specialties such as the Earth and Ocean seaweed salad to the signature Cheong Mon burrito to seafood and poultry servings like steamed tilapia and Samui ceviche; options for diners participating in the detoxification programs include steamed vegetables and crisp salads. Meals can be paired with fresh juices, smoothies, and supplement-infused "smart drinks."

Absolute Sanctuary hosts 25 yoga sessions weekly, among them hot, flow, hatha, yin, meditation, pranayama, restorative, and detoxification yoga. Classes are held in the yoga center, which accommodates up to 50 and features a custom heating-and-ventilation system and floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing for ample natural light and far-reaching views. The resort also conducts yoga teacher trainings and retreats throughout the year.

Following a workout, guests can take a dip in the infinity-edge swimming pool, relax poolside on loungers, or refresh at the juice bar. Daily movies and health- and nutrition-related talks are held in the mini-theater which also is a library & mini-conference room. Nearby snorkeling and scuba diving can be arranged, and shuttle services transfer guests to Chaweng, a popular tourist town offering shopping, nightlife, and dining, or to the nearby Cheong Mon beach.
