Upon walking into the 16-story property, guests will be treated to the fragrant scents of white tea and botanicals. From the 403 newly renovated guest rooms, guests can take in the views of the bordering Savannah River, the city's historic River Street, and the championship golf course. In-room amenities include Westin's signature Heavenly Bed, with five soft pillows, 250-thread-count sheets, a hypoallergenic duvet, down blankets, and a pillow-top mattress.

At Aqua Star, the property's signature restaurant, regional Low Country cuisine and Seafood features She-crab soup, a favorite among diners. The venue's executive chef Roger Michel has earned awards for his bananas fosters and unique entrees. Every Sunday, the restaurant hosts a jazz brunch with live performances. The Midnight Sun Lounge has outdoor tents, fire pits, and a cityscape view that cannot be beat. Drinks and lunch service are available poolside as well.

Only a 90-second ferry ride away from the resort is the city of Savannah. Its preserved historical district, famed River Street, boutiques, restaurants, and bars offer ample opportunities for sightseeing, shopping, and strolling. Also nearby are the sun-warmed beaches of Tybee Island and the hard-packed shores of Hilton Head Island, which offers private access to Westin Savannah Harbor guests. On the Savannah River, guests can take fishing expeditions, go kayaking, ride on riverboats, and go on dolphin-watching tours.

The hotel offers guests complimentary bicycles to explore Hutchinson Island. For golfers, the 18-hole championship course designed by Robert Cupp and Sam Snead is the home of the PGA Champions Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf Tournament (through 2010). A golf pro shop is also available. I was recovering from food poisoning the day I went to this spa, and the staff was so accomodating! They kept checking on me, offering crackers and juice, and just making me as comfortable as possible. I had one of their mineral bath (I had never had one of those, and it was awesome), a River Rock massage, and a River Rock pedicure. The treatment was wonderful. I will definitely be back to this spa. Everything and everyone were wonderful!

I would recommend this spa to anyone looking to getaway for a quick vacation. I stayed here as a graduation gift to myself. My girlfriend and I had a day dedicated to spa services. This was by far the best day during my stay. The staff was very attentive and helpful. They provided first class service. The Scottish Spray was wonderful!!! I cannot wait to return. :)
